That is all I have to say about the new Star Trek movie.  For now.

That, and I think I have a crush on Karl Urban now.  Or at least on his McCoy.

I KNOW RITE?

Oh my gosh, and unbelievable amount of love. Better than the original. Eric Bana makes such an amazing villain. And Karl Urban is AHHHHHHH! And Kirk = not a Ken doll? WHAT? I mean, I heart the original, and the new one wouldn't exist (or if it did, be this awesome) without it. But this was a great improvement. So much love.

OMG YES. Especially to the Karl Urban--as I've always thought McCoy was hot and am particularly pleased with Urban's portrayal.

Though, I think all of the Big Three (Kirk, Spock, and McCoy) are rather yum, in very individual and unique ways.

And after renting and plowing through season two of ST: TOS after watching the movie, I do think the movie is an improvement in a lot of ways. I'm very much looking forward to more movies.

Oh, me too. I agree, this is an improvement. Kirk and Spock were marvelously done, too, but McCoy just completely stole my heart. Karl Urban is no longer simply Eomer to me. Boy, was he ever McCoy. I can't wait for more movies. Can't even wait to see this one again!
