Questions from Natsuko
1. If you were granted 3 entirely self-centred wishes (i.e. nothing altruistic such as "World Peace"), what would they be?
Wow. Well, first of all, I'd be rich like whoa, so I don't have to stress out about this routine of making money to make money and devote time to volunteer work and moving and going places I want to go. Second, um...well, that's about all I can think of right now. It's entirely self-centered, yes, but I'm being honest. Um, other wishes. Well, I might like to be able to fly. Whenever I'm dreaming and realize I'm dreaming, I try to fly. I've only been able to actually fly in my dreams once, I think. It was amazing. Thirdly--I can't believe I didn't think of this--I'd like to be an actively employed composer. World-famous isn't necessary, but I'd want my works to be widespread. Hearing my work performed is better than hearing my name spoken, by far. I'd kinda shy away from being famous. Too much pressure.
2. If you had 5 alternative lives to live, what would you do with them?
I'd try to live in five distinctly different cultures, or at least in different times. Wow, this could get complex. I might like to be a kunoichi in Medieval Japan, a seamstress in Jamestown in 1760, an actor in the Globe during Shakespeare's time, a pygmy in the forest of Africa, and a politician's wife in Ancient Greece. These are just things that come to mind.
3. Why do you write fanfic?
Because I have too many ideas not to share. I like my ideas. It would be selfish to keep them all to myself, when there's a chance other people could enjoy them. That sounds really arrogant, but it's the truth. I love to create, I love characters, and I love sharing creations and characters.
4. Why TMNT? What pulled you in?
Very typical story, mine. I loved it as a kid, and that love was brought to new life with the new movie. But at the very beginning? My brothers. They raved about it, and they would wake me up so I could watch it with them. Maybe the fact that I was "cool" enough to watch TV with my big brothers was the first hook, but I loved the show even after they lost interest.
5. How would you like to be known/remembered?
If I can't be someone who made the world better, I'd like to be someone who didn't help keep the world the way it is.
